Lilongwe flea-market getting back on its feet

The Lilongwe flea-market that was razed by fire recently is under reconstruction. The fire burnt down property worth millions of kwachas, leaving about 1 050 vendors out of business.

Malawi President Peter Mutharika visited the market and donated K10 million ($25 000) to those who lost their merchandise. The picture shows some vendors at work re-building their shops. —Samuel Chunga, Staff Writer.
